In the Victorian London, the hairdresser Benjamin Barker is wed to the splendid Lucy and they have a lovable baby, Johanna. The beauty of Lucy attracts the eye of the corrupt Judge Turpin, who falsely accuses the barber of a criminal offense that he did now not commit and abuses Lucy later after gaining custody of her.
